illowbrook seeks adult volunteers to:

 

Martha Chessie volunteers
  • demonstrate 19th century historic trades and crafts
  • provide guided tours and special interest tours
  • assist with special event days (Dairy Day in June, Fourth of July, Newfield Old Home Day in August, Civil War Encampment in September, Historical Haunted Halloween in October, and Gingerbread House workshops in December).
  • bake goodies or cook food for bean suppers
  • do collections data entry/cataloguing/research
  • assist with retail sales
  • provide grounds care—flowerbeds and containers
  • do restoration work on historic and non-historic buildings and fences
